World We Dare to Imagine Part 3

Test for Essential Knowledge (TEK)

Intro and Mission

Misinformation is the number one problem in the digital era. Because of misinformation, a variety of other problems have been exacerbated, such as COVID19 and climate change. TEK is founded by David Ju after he got increasingly annoyed with the resurge of COVID19 cases. With the many vaccinations and safety measures available, David is surprised that many healthy people are unwilling to vaccinate themselves for their own safety and the safety of others. TEK wants to hold each individual more accountable and mitigate a lot of reckless and ignorant behavior. Just like how there are SATs, ACTs, and GREs for higher education, TEK aims to develop an essential knowledge test that can be used by employers when evaluating resumes.

Uniqueness of Company

What exactly is essential knowledge? We honestly don't know. TEK will hire experts from around the globe and have them conduct surveys and research on the population, so they can evaluate and determine topics, concepts, and values that are vital to humanity. When we develop our tests, we will make all topics on the test available to everyone. Also, for our testing services, we plan to have a mixture of multiple-choice questions and written responses. The writing prompt would ask the test-taker about how they would go about solving a certain issue affecting a large number of people. Maybe the answer to climate change will be in these tests.

Business Model

TEK will be similar to the major testing services for higher education. TEK will have official testing dates and locations across the world. TEK will also provide online testing with proctoring software to make it even more accessible. Our tests will also accommodate disabled individuals and provide them with extra time similar to many other testing services. We will make our revenue by charging people for test registration and for sending out extra test scores to employers. Any profit made from our services will be reinvested into developing our test as well as providing education to those that are marginalized. We also hope to receive subsidies from the government, and we will be careful. We will reject any offers that require TEK to further a party's political agenda. We will likely face limitations in where our services are offered

Our major expenses come from constantly developing our tests. Because our test aims to test essential knowledge about the world, we have to be up to date with concerning issues. For example, our organization may have to develop the test when climate change causes more problems, new viruses appear, or there is an important scientific discovery.

Why Invest?

AMDP should invest in TEK because it'll make people more educated on important matters that may impact generations of people. Instead of fining companies on ethical issues left and right, we should focus on the causes of these issues, which are people and their understanding of certain topics.
